Salary structure

Direct Taxation

answered on 13-May-24 23:12

Suppose, my employer gave me a CTC of Rs 25,00,000 which includes Rs 1,00,000 for purchase of laptop. Now the company said to buy the laptop in the company's name. Now I have a question like how the salary structure will look like ? What my CTC will be and what value should be added in the gross. Since the laptop will be purchased by employees with an intent of keeping it.

If it is done for a consideration then it a clear case of transfer and that would be taxable.
