Whether the 15%,45%,75% is cumulative under sec 234C? In this qstn for 2nd installment they computed payable value = tax payable *45%. If it is cumulative it should be tax payable* 30% (45-15). Kindly consider my query.

Sir, I have doute, 1) According to the institute's material, the journal entry includes security premium. However, the solution provided in your class does not consider the security premium in the journal entry. 2) The question specifically asks us to pass the entry in Bima Ltd only. The solution provided in the study material also passes the entry in Bima Ltd. So, I am confused as to why we are passing the entry in the group entity. Could you please provide clarification? 3) In the study material, they do not pass an entry for legal expenses. However, the solution provided in your class includes a journal entry for legal expenses. 4) The question is solved uses the concept of consolidation, not amalgamation. I have a doubt regarding this topic. Could you please provide clarification?

Sir, Will the current market price (the traded value) of a share, factor in the impact of debt in the company. If that is the case then why, share price × no of shares = Market cap and not Enterprise value ?

latest answer

Say if risk is too high then EV will come down. EV is computed as DCF of future cash flows discounted at cost of capital If Kc is too high due to higher debt, the discount rate is high and it leads to lower FCFF and lower NPV and lower EV and hence lower equity value
