Depreciation Calculation
Financial Reporting
answered on 22-Nov-24 14:04
Sir, we calculated Depreciation for 6 months (from 1st oct to 31st March)= 444600+179400= 624000 * 10% for 6 months= 31200. Why did we deducted 23400, what is the logic? As Rs 23400 was calculated for first 6 months (1st Apr to 1st Oct)
latest answer
The question gave us information as on 31-Mar-18 We need as on 1-Oct So first we computed balance as on 1-Apr-17 and the computed value on 1-Oct. For consolidation purpose, we can directly take 624,000 FV and reduce 10% for 6 months.
