Attested copy Vs certified copy

I want to know the difference between attested copy and certified copy , we usually use these words in law , for filling copies with registrar of companies .

I think Attested copies are what we provided to ROC for compliance purpose and certified copy means the copies which are authorised/approved/agreed by some authority
