Under standard 3(A) loyalty prudence and care I didn't understand the concept of proxy voting and some cost benefits must be accounted stuffs like that pls explain the whole concept of proxy wrt this standard

latest answer

Proxy means voting on behalf of your clients in AGM of companies whose shares are held by your clients In order to vote, one has to go through resolutions, understand how good bad they are and then take a decision Doing research on each company takes time. It is better they spend time on companies who shares are held in large number and on important resolutions only instead of attending every GM and voting on every resolution

Portfolio Management-Phases

AFM

answered on 13-May-25 07:54

Sir, how can we revise a portfolio without first evaluating how the current securities are performing? Since evaluation helps identify what’s working and what’s not, wouldn’t it logically come before revision? What is the reasoning behind placing 'Portfolio Revision' before 'Portfolio Evaluation' in the sequence.

latest answer

Portfolio analysis is done which considers what is working and what is not Portfolio evaluation is done after that
