Brogden vs Metropolitan railway company
Corporate & Other Laws
answered on 27-May-25 16:58
In this case law it says when acceptance is not communicated it does not form an agreement. But as per implied contract an act done by the offeree ( NOTE:::: intention to acceptance) represents the offer to be accepted if the answer is not given. If this case law Brogden vs Metropolitan railway company comes in exam what should be the answer as per acceptance or as per implied contract If the question asks give your view on basis of Indian Contract Act 1872
latest answer
The acceptance is not happening by conduct here the agreement is just signed but not communicated.

Interest rate used for FV

answered on 24-May-25 17:50
I've understood why we used the borrowing rate to compute the future value of option premium paid on Day 0. But why shouldn't we see it from the POV that interest is lost on the premium paid out of pocket and use the deposit rate instead to compute FV?
latest answer
Good question Because borrowing rate is higher than Deposit rate Large Companies rarely have too much surplus lying around in low cost deposits They have long term deposits at higher rates and then in parallel have borrowings by OD / CC for short term requirements So for them opportunity cost is not deposit rate but borrowing rate

Currently, I am in class 12th. I supposed to give my CA foundation exam in May 2026. So, tell me by what time by syllabus should to be completed?? And when should I apply for one month mentorship program?? Basically, in which month. Near my CA foundation exam or now only in this 2 to 3 months?
latest answer
You should try to complete syllabus by January. And then focus on revision. You should do mentorship upfront as the mentor would guide you on how to prepare.

Ministry of Law and Justice

answered on 27-May-25 11:18
Regarding the Ministry of Law and Justice, it is mentioned that legal affairs are managed through the Legislative Department while legislative activities are managed by the Department of the Legal Affairs. I have a doubt whether it is right or wrong because I felt that the names of the two departments and their respective functions are not matching. Could the facilities give me a clarification about this?
latest answer
Legislative Department handles drafting of laws and legislative activities. Department of Legal Affairs deals with legal advice, litigation, and legal services.
