Why closing stock of integral foreign operation are translates using the closing rate? Closing stock being non monetary item should have been translated at the rate that existed at the date of transaction ?

As per AS-1 Disclosure of accounting policies' any change in an accounting policy can be called out under any of the three circumstances a) requirements of law / statute b) requirement of accounting standard c) for better presentation ,which has a material effect should be disclosed in the financial statements ,the AMT by which any item in the financial statements is affected by such change should also be disclosed to the extent ascertainable where such amount is not ascertainable, wholly or in part ,the fact should be indicated .Is this ok for the provision para for case based question related to AS-1 sir?

Let's read once carefully: As per Sec 13 of Act, all legislations and regulations, unless there is anything repugnant in the subject or context- (1) Words importing the masculine gender shall be taken to include females, and (2) Words in singular shall include the plural and vice versa So, basically vice versa is for second sentence only

To add onto above answer. Points in ICAI SM are not sub-sections. They are simply section broken down into points for understanding / presentation. Also, it's okay, if you just write - as per provisions contained in Section 13 of the Companies Act....
