Individual auditor can not be appointed for more than 1 term. Firm of auditors can not be appointed for more than 2 terms. Term here refers to consecutive 5 years. So incase of firm, can be appointed as auditors for a maximum period of 5 consecutive years and they can be reappointed for maximum of 5 more years there after. After that 2 terms of 5 years, cooling period of 5 years is applicable
