In the given illustration, payables should be treated as a long term debt for calculating capital employed but given solution has treated it as a trade creditors ( short term debt)!!! Isn't it fundamentally wrong?? Because capital employed = equity* + long term debt....

latest answer

Where is the word capital employed used in the question or solution? It only talks of Total assets and total liabilities. Current liabilities can be shown as part of liabilities or reduced from CA and shown as part of NWC on assets side.

Conversion - Exam related Query

Exams

answered on 06-Dec-21 02:18

Hi . I have applied for CA final December 2021 exams under "old syllabus" for both groups. But unfortunately I didn't get leaves from my company since I am into full time employment. So I will appear only for group 1 instead of both groups and get converted into new syllabus for second group after results are out. Now the question is ...for converting from old to new they have asked to upload the marksheet. Will it be fine if I upload my December 2021 attempt's marksheet in which I will be shown fully present for all 4 papers of group 1 but absent for groups 2. Will it cause any problems ? At the end they just want a marksheet...so I suppose it shouldn't matter much whether I have appeared for both or either of the group. Anyone any idea or inputs on this

latest answer

Thank you soooooo much. All this happened because of confusion created by ICAI. Firstly they didn't announce that old syllabus extension will be granted to all students instead of only for those who opted out in July 2021 exams. As a result all those old syllabus students who had both groups pending ( approx 4000 students) applied for both groups instead of going single group wise on the fear of being last attempt. And then institute took out 1.5% paas percentage of both groups ( only 64 students passed out of approximately 3900). Extension for all old syllabus students was granted at a very later date. Many people applied for conversion due to this confusion. Even I had applied...but fortunately didn't pay conversion fee because I got confused in this uploading of marksheet....so it's still showing under pending status on SSP portal. Then after ICAI announced extension for all old syllabus students... I applied for exam form under old syllabus with conversion application still pending.

A contract for service will it come under Indian contract act or SOGA

latest answer

Every contract is subject to the provisions of Indian Contract Act. Also, Sale of Good Act deals with Good ( & definition of good is given in the Act) & not with services
