Clubbing of income
Direct Taxation
answered on 22-May-22 09:58
In deemed owner section it is said that when a house is transferred to wife without adequate consideration the income arising from the house will be clubbed to the husband. In another section it is said that any asset transferred to daughter in law directly or indirectly, the income from such asset will be clubbed in the hands of transferor. QUESTION- What if a person transfers a house to his son and his son then transfers it to his wife subsequently. will the income be clubbed in the hands of the son as per first provision. Or will it be clubbed in the hands of the father in law as per second provision.
latest answer
