Overheads - Supplementary OH Rate

Costing

answered on 23-Jun-22 13:47

In the given question, pre-determined rate is given on per man day basis but we find supplementary recovery rate on per unit basis. How? And is it mandatory to find supplementary recovery rate on per unit basis, when we have information about produced units?

latest answer

In this question overheads are absorbed based on factory overheads.so you have to compare actual overheads with predetermined rate of factory overheads in order to determine whether it is underabsorbed or overabsorbed. If it is underabsorbed in that case you need to find out the supplementary rate based on the units produced... If you are not able to understand my explanation u can turnover to the page where the concepts have been taught in a precise manner.

Overheads- Supplementary OH Rate

Costing

answered on 23-Jun-22 13:50

Estimated: Expenses = 24000 Working hours = 3000 OH recovery rate = â?¹8/hr Actual: Expenses = 20000 Working hours = 2400 What is supplementary recovery rate? Whether it is over or under absorption? If question doesn't provide actual OH, then how to approach?

latest answer

Brother your search for the answers are in the theory part of the chapter itself. Please study it thoroughly and try to solve the problems. Question do provide about actual oh because there is a need to calculate whether there is an under or over absorption.dont worry about that.
