based on question no 18 i framed this question for example company : ITC spot price : Rs 300 expiry date : 25th Aug( 1 month ) Premium :10 after 1 month spot price Rs 250 Strike price : 300 ( ATM = Delta 0.50) Mr A bought 1 share in cash market what is perfect hedge for this ?? sir as you said about hedging if we have Exiting Long position in cash market, we sell call options so in given situation we have 1 share of itc so 1share buy = sold 2 call options as on expiry date Spot 250 so option buyer did not exercise , so Here seller option seller get Rs 20 ( only premium received ) but in cash market we lost (300 - 250 )=50 net loss is = 50 - 30 = Rs 20 after made perfect hedge why we are still get lose , in this case i thought covered call not perfect hedge , covered call used for Either the profit potential gets increased or we improve our entry price of existing positions as per my opinion , perfect Hedge is married put , Sir if I am wrong please correct me
