Karta of a HUF is a non-Resident, but HUF of a control and management in india therefore HUF is a Resident, How to find a residential status of HUF? (Whether ROR/RNOR/NR)

Mr. Y transferred Rs15,00,000 as gift to his father, Mr. YY. Mr. YY invested that amount in a Fixed deposit and earned interest of Rs90,000 Now Is this interest income clubbed in the hands of Mr. Y ? Does intention of avoiding or not avoiding the tax play any role in the clubbing ?
