Interpretation of may

Corporate & Other Laws

answered on 19-Dec-22 17:03

Here it is stated that may be taken from General Clauses Act, but it is not optional right? It should be taken from General Clauses Act or is there something else to interpret?

latest answer

When the definition of a word is defined in the Act itself then that particular definition is considered while reading the Act and nothing else is needed, in the absence of definition of a word in the Act then the definition is to be referred from The General Clauses Act. The General Clauses Act comes for a rescue in the absence of clear definition in the specific enactments.

I am unable to understand the solution.

latest answer

Lets say you have goods costing Rs 100. Now lets say there is 25% profit on cost = 100 x 25% = 25 Then, the selling price is 100 + 25 = 125. Then percentage profit on selling price is 25/125 x 100 = 20%. hence 25% profit on cost = 20% on sales

What is the most critical resource of an ERP system? In one of ICAI mtp the answer given is data but i think it should be people.

latest answer

Data is considered the most critical resource in an ERP system because ERP works on a centralized database that integrates information from different departments. All reports, transactions, and decisions depend on the accuracy and quality of the data stored in the system. If the data is incorrect, the entire ERP output becomes unreliable. However, people are also important in practice because they are responsible for entering and managing the data in the system.
