What will be the treatment of special dividend in investor's books of accounts

latest answer

Dividend is an income and hence, it has to be credited to the P&L. In investment accounts chapter, you can post the amount in the dividend column of the credit side.

Not received Income Tax Refund

Direct Taxation

answered on 16-Jan-23 10:32

Hello sir, I have a doubt and the same have been attached below. 1.My question is I have filled a IT return for my friend who has salary income where TDS also deducted from the employer, 2.Total tax payable after chapter VI A deduction but before TDS is Nill because of relief from Rebate u/s 87A, 3. In this case as we all know that the TDS amount will be refundable and the same need to be received by my friend, 4. I have furnished all details clearly that stated Refund amount is Rs.13930 but recently I have received intimation order u/s 143(1) which stated that there is no payment due, 5. Tax computation As per 143(1) they have not taken TDS the same have been deducted by my employer and the same have been reflected in my friend's 26AS, 6. What is the reason for not received refund though every documents are available and correctly deducted, I request to see the attachment and give me clarity on this. Thank you,
