Sir, lets say they ask us to find the translated inventory balance, and the ending balance is 16,000,000 : should it be transalted at the historical rate (rule of temporal method) or translate the balance at average rate (as they wer purchased evenly).

latest answer

Here why i should consider 60% for software implementation as the question never said customer should be 100% satisfied with the work or something like that, it tells on july 01 , x0 its 60% but before september it will be 100% right so why should we consider 60% performance obligation here ? [Video Time Stamp: 00:24]

latest answer

The variable consideration is for software impementation and hence the variable consideration is included in transaction price of software implementation. Since the work is only 60% complete, we consider 60% for revenue.

I don't get difference that which entry should rectify and which want bank reconciliation [Video Time Stamp: 05:34]

latest answer

We should rectify those entries where we have made mistakes or which we have missed. For e.g if bank charges are Rs. 100 and we did not record. Now this entry will not be reversed by bank. Hence we have to record. Or if we have incorrectly recorded some amount, that we need to correct. if bank has delayed some entries - for e.g. cheque issued but not presented. Now this is not our mistake and also bank will record when cheque is debited. So we put it in Bank reco

Whether consolidated financial statement to be prepared by subsidiary and associate company? As per section 129, only company which have one or more subsidiaries or associates is supposed to prepare the cfs. (The holding company)

latest answer

Hi Geetha, Consolidated Financial statements are prepared by the Ultimate holding co, its's subsidiaries and associates prepare the standalone financials and provide the information to the holding company for preparation of CFS. 1)So, the question whether the Subsidiary prepare CFS? Generally no, but if it is an intermediate holding co and it's ultimate holding co is exempted from preparing CFS (and certain other conditions )then the subsidiary will prepare the CFS. 2)As for Associates, they don't prepare the CFS. (only the SFS). Hope that helps.
