Under standard costing - we compute the variances - price, usage & mix If we remove the abnormal gain qty, you cannot compute the correct variance (favourable usage variance) Check the video from 6 to 6:30 and also the usage & mix variance computations

Donation to charitable trust allowed as deduction u/s 80G , not from PGBP. But , it is debited to PGBP p&L A/C as Expense . Hence to add back and allowed in deductions.
