Under absorption overhead

Costing

answered on 24-Mar-23 09:13

Why are we transferring all the under absorption to costing pnl when there is finished goods in the warehouse.isnt that we have to transfer only proportionate under absorption to pnl since closing stock is also related to production?

latest answer

What goes to the product is only normal cost. Since there is under/over absorption we need to adjust it separately

In this question dep. Is to be charged for 3yrs+2 months right??

latest answer

The refund amount would be added to the carrying amount of Fixed Asset. And depreciate over the remaining period. 1 month in April does not have a material impact.

Place of Supply

Indirect Taxation

answered on 15-Mar-23 16:44

Mr. Shreyansh, a registered person in Gujarat was travelling to Mumbai by car. His car broke down during the journey and he stopped at the local repairing shop at Mumbai. What will be the place of supply? The answer give in the material is as follows : In this case, since the repair shop would not have address of Mr. Shreyansh, the place of supply will be the location of the supplier of service i.e. Mumbai. But since the recipient is registered , the place of supply would be Gujarat (Location of the recipient). Kindly clarify

latest answer

Recipient can make use of his registration for business purpose only. He can't use it for personal use. So, it will not have the effect of registration in this case I think
