Accountancy

answered on 20-Mar-23 09:39

If a company has loss and reserves showing dr.balance and if any contigent liability arises due to any legal obligation then I should provide for it or not.

latest answer

Contingent liability is disclosed. If payment is probable (>50% chance) and amount can be estimated, then you will create a liability in books irrespective of profit or loss position.

General Doubt

Indirect Taxation

answered on 21-Mar-23 06:52

In heading of notifications , N/N etc number is given and CT(rate) or UT(rate) or IT (rate ) is given. If only CT( rate) is given does it mean that notification is applicable for only CGST act and not for IGST and SGST/UTGST ? If yes , on the contrary but decision are taken at Gst council meeting which is then accepted by all , then how only one CGST notification is there and not for other acts ? And also, if some notification is applicable to ST( Rate) then only intra state transaction are affected of that state ?

latest answer

That won’t happen. It is always deemed that any rate given in CT is accepted by the state and UT also since it is on PAN India basis

In this q, it’s given fair rent and municipal valuation for the entire house .. so for unit one , wouldn’t u divide each BU three and multiply by 50% to find reasonably expected rent ?for ex municipal rent is 188000/3 *.5 , as it’s applicable to whole house ,all three units right ? In answer key they haven’t done the same
