A policy induced increase in the short term nominal interest rates makes debt instruments more attractive than equities , leading to a fall in equity prices. These statement is given in book . How increase in interest rates of loans , makes debt instruments more attractive than equities ?

latest answer

Equity markets are uncertain whereas in debt you get a certain return. If market interest rates go up from 5% to say 10% for the short term, this will imply borrowing rates will also go up for companies so debenture rates will go up so new investors will get higher interest amounts. so new investors would choose debt with certain and higher interest rates than equities with uncertain returns

If a unregistered person from kerala, purchase goods from registered person of andhra pradesh then whether IGST or CGST/SGST apply?

latest answer

There is no Place of supply in CA Inter syllabus. However, Interstate or Intra state is decided based on location of supplier and place of supply. POS in case where there is movement of goods shall be the place where movement of goods terminates for delivery to the recipient. If recipient does not disclose his details, then supplier will charge CGST and SGST.
