AFM

Sir, instead of writing out all the zeros, can we express large numbers using powers of 10? For example, writing a number as X × 10^5. Will marks be deducted if we follow this method? [Video Time Stamp: 05:54]

use absolute numbers or lakhs

Sir in the above question it says as per regulation norms upto $ 250000 but the investor is investing 1.58crores which is more than $ 250000 .How sir?

latest answer

Explained at 5 .30 minutes We take what is given in question for solving it. In real world it would not be possible to remit more than FEMA limits, but in ICAI world only ICAI logics work. Common sense be damned 😁

HEDGING

AFM

answered on 02-Jul-25 13:37

I have a doubt regarding the concept of hedging in the futures market. If I hold 1 share of ABC Ltd at ₹100 and I expect the price to fall to ₹80 next month, I can enter into a futures contract to sell at ₹100 (i.e., take a short position). If the market price actually falls to ₹80: I would incur a ₹20 loss in the cash market when I sell the share But I would gain ₹20 from the futures contract through cash settlement So, my net loss is zero. Is my understanding of this hedging process correct?

Yes Absolutely right
