Dependent Variable and Independent Variable

AFM

answered on 11-Nov-25 13:28

Hello sir, as you mentioned earlier ICICI's stock is considered a dependent variable and NIFTY is considered independent. You also said that NIFTY represents top 50 stocks in the country. So if any change occurs in any of the 50 stocks, the NIFTY index will change according to that right. So in that sense, NIFTY variables would be a dependent variable and ICICI stock would be independent variable right?

Early delivery Swap loss

AFM

answered on 10-Nov-25 12:13

While calculating the swap loss, do we need to consider exchange margin in the inter bank rates in case of early delivery???? In the given ques, there is no exchange margin but in case the margins are given, what to do?? We don't add/less margin in case of swap loss arising from cases after due date. Reason being the transaction are solely inter bank (no customer involvement). By applying the same concept here also, just wanted to confirm in case of early delivery??

latest answer

Point 1 your understanding is correct In point 2 approach 2 is correct Logic margin is a profit for bank you don’t charge it for all transactions
