VIDEOS QUERY

AFM

answered on 11-Sep-24 11:16

I did watch this chapter fully and now it showing that 5 more videos is there to watch, but in the list only one video is showing as not watched. My doubt is that if you change any content is already seen & completed video would it be considered as not seen , if so any content is changed how can i find it. Because as i have completed seeing the video it turns to green (completed) and any changes made by you in the seen video , can't be identified separately. Please help to identify the videos which has any modification.

Cap options

AFM

answered on 02-Sep-24 09:51

Sir, in this question, we have taken cap only for three periods of six month, but why are we discounting for four periods for the purpose of calculating premium on option please clarify

latest answer

Because premia is paid for 3 period for which cap is relevant - for 1st period the rate is already decided hence there will be no caplet for it However premia is paid upfront for entire period of loan. hence for all 4 periods one needs to discount it

Calculation of Dividend

AFM

answered on 02-Sep-24 09:50

The dividend yield is given as 4.8% per annum. So, while calculating the yield on 50% of the stock, why did we calculate using 4.5% instead of 4.8%*6/12? Why have we consider the per annum yield?

latest answer

Diff companies pay dividend at diff times, Hence i assumed that 50% of companies paid full dividend. You can also assume like what you mentioned

Question assumption

AFM

answered on 01-Sep-24 20:35

Sir , In exam when reading the question if I understand, for example in the question says that , " the company retains 50% of its earnings which are Rs.10 per share" as 50% of retained earnings is Rs.10 so the 100% EPS is Rs.20. by giving the note in assumption ?

answered on 31-Aug-24 04:18

Sir, in this sum can be directly divide 14,40,000 € by 1.445 and reduce the balance with 10,00,00 dollars and at loss if that is the case, then total loss will be dollar3472.22 but in this, given sum the loss is dollar 3472.22 there is a difference of $12 in loss. Please clarify the same.

latest answer

That is one way and icai should award marks in ideal scenarios, but wrt currency markets especially when u enter into a usd contract originally you will square it by reversing the org transaction and not disposing what u have
