Regarding the option
AFM
answered on 25-Oct-24 07:22
Sir in the question they have mentioned as the put option with strike price can be written. So we need to take Sell Put only. But here we have assumed it as Buy Put. Then the answer will be different.
latest answer
The price at which a buyer buys is same as price at which seller sells If u find buying price it is same as selling price It is easier to think of in buying terms and hence we are always find the price for buyer

Hi Sir, In the attached question, why is Project's share of allocated Fixed cost of 3mn not considered(point ii) while evaluating the Net cash flow from the subsidiary?
latest answer
Project specific costs are only considered for project allocation not corporate overheads which are anyway incurred whether teh project is taken up or not - hence they are ignored

Difference in small value using different methods
AFM
answered on 24-Oct-24 14:58
Sir using different methods Rs 5-10 difference for 10 lakhs, is that okay in exam, will we get full marks ?
latest answer
For such minor differences due to round off usually evaluators do not deduct marks - you should also check if you are getting a number like 49,99,997 - more often than not it is 50 lacs due to round of decimal somewhere in the computation

Post tax Rate
AFM
answered on 22-Oct-24 06:40
Why is that Post tax Rate 7% considered for discounting the post tax cash outflows, whats the logic
latest answer
In entire finance Pre tax rate use for discounting pre tax cash flows and post tax rate for post tax cash flows Unadjusted cash flows with unadjusted higher rate Vs adjusted (lower) cash flows with adjusted (lower) rate so that valuation is not in necessarily distorted due to tax
