CONSTANT MIX POLICY

AFM

answered on 27-Mar-25 12:13

Sir @12mins 38secs in this Video you are saying "That the Graph for the Constant Mix Policy will look like a concave curve and there will be a Dip at the end, because when the share price keeps on increasing we would have sold everything and majorly it will be only bonds" But if we are Rebalancing as per Constant MIx Policy means we'll be maintaining the Ratio of Share (Equity) and Bonds right? Then how can at last we would have Sold every Equity? Are you saying No.of shares we hold may have decreased or we would have sold every Shares at last if price keeps on increasing? Do you mean like the value of 1 shares itself would have crossed the Bond value so to we'll sell it off?

latest answer

Yes From a theoretical perspective finally u may left with just 1 share and then u sell it and then it will be only bonds

Variance computation 3 securities

AFM

answered on 23-Mar-25 11:36

Sir, While computing variance for the 3 securities portfolio, you said it will be computed by taking securities as a pair in the portfolio and computing the variance of each pair, but at the time of computation why we are not considering the portion of Wx^2 sdx^2 +Wy^2 sdy^2 where only the other part of the 2 security variance formula is only used that is WxWysdxsdyr (that too no 2 is taken)
